I’m Amanda Fromberg (she/her) and I’m a baker, tattoo collector, and writer. I was born and raised in New Jersey, lived in Brooklyn for nearly a decade, and have traveled the country working on political campaigns. My husband and I have since settled in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with our two very rowdy dogs.
Baking is my love language — not just how I express my care for the people I love, but how I distill all of my favorite things into delicious handcrafted desserts. I grew up painting and drawing, and I’ve channeled my creative energy and talent into creating thoughtfully designed, custom desserts. Whether that means traditional tattoo-inspired sugar cookies, Linzer tarts with my grandmother’s beloved recipe, Taylor Swift themed cupcakes, bespoke vintage cakes, or fresh challah bread every Friday, my baking is a reflection of the things, people, and flavors I love.
In 2023, I took the leap to launch Icing and Ink, a luxury microbakery specializing in custom cakes, custom cookies, and other desserts. I use premium ingredients and hand-decorate every dessert myself. I put lots of effort, time, and care into each dessert to ensure that they taste as good as they look!
